One customer, in particular, the Magnus Group, regularly needs all of the above, and the Suffolk-based logistics company’s latest project is a brilliant example of the work we do together.
Magnus Group CEO Olly Magnus recently agreed with Ipswich Town Football Club that his company would sponsor the stadium’s iconic West Stand. The new Magnus Group West Stand was unveiled with much fanfare, and it was The Hudson Group that sorted out all the signage.
We manufactured the imposing sign and then, thanks to a large spider lift platform, erected it piece by piece on the front of the stand, a central point of the famous stadium. We also made and installed other new Magnus Group signage around Portman Road, including pitch perimeter boards and large, branded signs above the West Stand turnstiles and entrances.
The time frame was short, and we had just over a day to get everything in place in the ground – there’s nothing like a deadline defined by 20,000 supporters turning up for a home match to focus the mind!
Our relationship with Magnus Group and our record of working with Ipswich Town FC on previous projects, like the enormous new club history mural, ensured this installation went smoothly and with exceptional results. Olly is still a bit awe-inspired by seeing his company name so prominently at the football ground, one that is like a second home to him.
Building business relationships
