Reflecting on another extraordinary year

Enjoy well-deserved family time this Christmas

Another year draws to a close, and we still find ourselves in the grip of the COVID pandemic. As a business community, we have all become accustomed to operating in these choppy seas, adapting, innovating and going the extra mile to ensure we make the best of every opportunity. Who knows if we will ever get back to “normal”?

All of you have put in so much effort to keep the wheels of commerce turning, and the Hudson Group team hopes sincerely that you and your loved ones remain healthy and can now enjoy some special time together at Christmas.

We will close on Thursday 23rd December at 5pm and open again on Tuesday, January 4, giving us plenty of time to recharge the batteries and come back ready to take on whatever it is that this virus throws at us in 2022.

There will be plenty of time for reflection as we digest our Christmas dinners, and we will look back proudly at what our team achieved in 2021.

We started the year with a bang, telling you all about our biggest signage project to date, our huge landmark clifftop sign for the Sandy Lane Yacht Club in the Caribbean. Closer to home, we were thrilled to play our part in revamping the Ipswich Town FC stadium and excited to launch a new range of LED display products aimed primarily at the retail sector.

Everyone at Hudson continues to think of people in need, and we were delighted to raise money to buy defibrillators for sports clubs and play a leading role in the Undy 500 car rally (to Scotland and back in cars worth less than £500).

No more plastic

Looking ahead to 2022, we want to step up our efforts to respect the environment by doing away with plastic packaging in our clothing division. Right now, each item comes in a plastic bag. But next year, we will box them all up together unless a customer wants them packaged individually in biodegradable bags.

We know it’s only a small step. But if we all take one step, we can cover huge amounts of ground.

So, there we are. Another year is in the books. We want to thank all of our lovely customers for entrusting Hudson Group with their branding, signage and workwear requirements. We never take your custom lightly and can’t wait to work with you again next year.
